MOSAIC is honoured to be the recipient of an additional $10,000 in funding from the provincial government to continue leading anti-racism work in Surrey and White Rock.
“We know that communities play in important role in addressing racism,” said Rachna Singh, Parliamentary Secretary for Anti-Racism Initiatives. “Through our investment in the Resilience BC network, we are able to provide MOSAIC in Surrey-White Rock the support they need to take a stand against racism. This is just one of many actions we’re taking to stamp out discrimination in B.C.”
As a member of the Resilience BC Anti-Racism Network, MOSAIC is part of a province-wide approach to identifying and challenging racism. The program connects more than 50 BC communities with information, support and the training they need to respond to, and prevent, future incidents of racism and hate.
“Now, more than ever, there is a need to not only pause, listen and be aware of the hateful incidents happening around us, but also to take collective responsibility in creating safer communities,” said Sandhya Ghai, MOSAIC’s Coordinator for the Resilience BC Surrey-White Rock Spoke.
